Job Description:
Tibco Administrator 94K Owings Mills, MD Permanent with excellent benefits and 4 weeks vacation Excellent opportunity for a Tibco Administrator with the following skills: Ensures that all software or systems for which they are responsible are monitored and tuned to ensure acceptable levels of performance and resource utilization, ensures that the software is utilizing all appropriate functions and features, timely and accurate reporting on performance, utilization and feature use as requested. Provides technical assistance to Operations, Applications, Business Clients and the Help Desk in order to resolve production schedules or problems. Provides on-call support for assigned systems and software.. Provides support regarding most technical aspects of implementing projects/major release upgrades for la critical systems which includes: properly following a project life cycle, the development of project plans, completing all appropriate documentation and notifications in order to obtain resolution within the established timeframes. Stays current in new IT technologies. Performs installation of complex software and hardware environments in a timely manner in keeping with current Tibco release levels. Creates and maintains schedules for software maintenance and upgrades. Participates in and contributes to technical discussion within their team and shares their technical expertise to others’ activities. Communicates between key IT groups and the customer community via participation in meetings and the creation of status reporting mechanisms (weekly, monthly, and quarterly). QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Required: This position requires a BA/BS in Computer Science and 3-5 years of experience as a Tibco Administrator. Equivalent experience supporting complex and critical IT environments will be evaluated in lieu of these requirements where applicable. This is a TIBCO Administrator position. Position requirements include, the following: An individual with extensive experience installing, maintaining, and monitoring TIBCO EAI Software across all platforms (UNIX and Linux). Broad TIBCO administration experience on UNIX and Linux using the TIBCO Administrator. Extensive knowledge and experience with TIBCO Runtime Agent (TRA), BusinessWorks, Adapters, EMS, Hawk, Rendevous, BusinessConnect, and/or BusinessEvents. Experience developing Hawk rule bases to monitor the entire suite of TIBCO products. Knowledge and experience with TIBCO load-balanced and fault-tolerant configurations. Experience troubleshooting and resolving problems related to TIBCO applications. This position requires advanced UNIX and Linux skills. Candidates must be capable of writing/editing shell scripts. This position will support activities that must be performed outside normal business hours (8:00 am to 5:00 pm) to minimize the impact to our customers. There are 24/7 on-call responsibilities.


Job Requirements:
3 to 5 years Tibco Administration An individual with extensive experience installing, maintaining, and monitoring TIBCO EAI Software across all platforms (UNIX and Linux). Extensive knowledge and experience with TIBCO Runtime Agent (TRA), BusinessWorks, Adapters, EMS, Hawk, Rendevous, BusinessConnect, and/or BusinessEvents.
